  • Hdc: one-half double crochet 
  • Hdc-inc: half double crochet increase (ii hdc in same st)


Materials:

  • Medium weight iv yarn (I used LB Vel-Luxe Yarn in the color Silver)
  • 5.5 mm crochet hook 
  • Scissors

Part i: CROWN OF HOOD (worked inward joined rounds)

Start with medium weight velvet yarn.

R1: In a MR: ch 2, insert ten hdc. *Join alongside a sl st to the kickoff hdc. (10 hdc) 
R2: Ch ii, hdc-inc around. *Join. (twenty hdc)
R3: Ch 2, (hdc, hdc-inc) 10 x. *Join. (xxx hdc)
R4: Ch ii, (hdc 2, hdc-inc) ten 10. *Join. (twoscore hdc)
R5: Ch two, (hdc three, hdc-inc) x ten. *Join. (fifty hdc)
R6: Ch two, (hdc iv, hdc-inc) 10 10. *Join. (60 hdc)
R7: Ch 2, (hdc 5, hdc-inc) 10 x. *Join. (lxx hdc)

Note: At this indicate, the circle should measure most half dozen.5 inches across.

Part ii: TRANSITION (worked inwards unjoined rows)

R8: Ch 2, hdc 67. Leave the terminal three sts unworked. (67 hdc)

Part three: LENGTH OF HOOD (worked inward unjoined rows)
