Introduction:
This classic lace headband is a sugariness head accessory that tin can easily live crocheted to fit whatsoever head size. Stitches/Terms Used:
- FO: fasten off
- Sk: skip
- Ch: chain
- Sl st: slip run up
- Sc: unmarried crochet
- Hdc: half double crochet
- Dc: double crochet
Materials:
- Light (iii) weight yarn (I used Patons Grace yarn inwards white together with blush)
- 5mm crochet claw
- Scissors
CROCHET INSTRUCTIONS
HEADBAND
- Make an fifty-fifty issue of chains to match the length that you lot’d similar for your headband. (For reference, I made 64 chains to attain a 12” length for my infant daughter’s head size.)
Note: Use the Hat Sizing & Measurements Reference Chart for average head circumferences of unlike historic period groups. - Ch 2 more.
- In third ch from hook, insert a hdc. (Sk a st, sc+dc inwards side by side st) across. Insert hdc in final st.
- Ch 1, insert a sc in the side of the headband. Then insert sc across each of the chains along the bottom of the headband. Insert a sc inwards the other side of the headband.
- FO with a long tail to use as a “tying strap.”
- Attach yarn to the other finish of the headband, making certain it’second equally long as the other side. Tie it securely, then fasten off together with weave in the end.
